Photo credit Mark Ruckman Gelandesprung translates from German to English as "Terrain Jump".  We've learned that traditionally it is a long distance ski jump off a natural feature but has been more commonly jumping off a Nordic Ski Jump with an Alpine configured ski.....usually as long as you can find usually a 230 or DH board. I found an event at Sugarbush VT that looks like it's scheduled for February of 2016 and appears to be the third consecutive year......can't find a lot of detail on it.
